Slowquit app (iOS) and slowquit.macmowl.top · Version 1.0 · Effective 1 November 2026

In short. Slowquit requires no account and no sign-up. Your puff log, your moods and your plan stay on your phone and are never sent to us. Two third parties are involved: RevenueCat to manage the subscription, and Apple to take the payment. There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics.

1. Who publishes the app

Slowquit is published by Alan Massar, an independent developer, acting as data controller under the GDPR.

2. No account, no identity

The app has no sign-up, no login and no profile. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location. We run no server for the app: everything it does, it does on your phone. Only buying and restoring a subscription needs the internet (§ 4).

3. What is stored on your device

The following is stored locally, in the app’s private storage, and shared with no one:

The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show today’s count and budget. The app hands them what they need on your phone; nothing goes through a server.

This data describes your vaping habits and your mood, which can be sensitive. That is why it never leaves your device and we cannot see it. It disappears when you delete the app. There is no cloud save: deleting the app permanently erases it. If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, Apple may include the app’s data in that backup, under your own Apple settings.

4. Third-party services

RevenueCat: subscription

The subscription is handled by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app (not linked to your identity), your purchase and subscription status, the App Store receipt, technical information about your device and the app (system version, app version, language) and your IP address. This is what validates a purchase, unlocks Premium and restores it on a new phone. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Apple App Store: payment

Payments are processed by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple handles your data under its own policy, and manages your subscription: you cancel it in your iPhone settings.

Local notifications

If you allow them, the app schedules a local notification each evening at 21:00 with your count and your budget. It is produced by your phone: no notification server, no token sent, no data collected.

Sharing and saving a milestone card

A milestone card is an image made on your phone. It goes out only when you tap Share, to the app you pick in the iOS share sheet, or when you tap Save image, which asks your permission to add it to Photos. We never receive the image.

What the app does not use

No advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting service, no social login. The Terms link opens Apple’s standard licence agreement in a browser, only when you tap it.

5. Data summary

This table covers the app. We do not collect: your name, email address, contacts, location, user content, browsing history, financial data. Your puff log, moods and plan stay on your phone and are not collected.

Slowquit does not track you across other companies’ apps and websites, so it does not show Apple’s tracking prompt. It asks for two permissions, both optional and changeable at any time in iPhone Settings: notifications (the evening check-in) and adding images to Photos (saving a milestone card).

7. Legal bases (GDPR)

8. International transfers

RevenueCat is based in the United States and may process data there. Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework to which this provider adheres.

9. Retention

We retain no data about you: the app has no server. Local data stays on your device until you delete the app. Data processed by RevenueCat and Apple is retained according to their own schedules, described in their policies.

10. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.

If you are a California resident: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not offer financial incentives for personal information.

11. Age

Slowquit is intended for adults, the people who can legally buy vaping products in their country. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. We collect no data in any case, apart from what RevenueCat receives for a purchase. Children cannot subscribe without an adult’s Apple Account.

12. Not medical advice

Slowquit is a self-help tool, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor about nicotine replacement or quitting support.

13. The slowquit.macmowl.top website

This website is made of static pages. It has no form, no account, no cookie, no analytics and loads nothing from other companies (not even fonts). Like any web server, ours keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested, browser) for a short time to keep the site secure and working; they are not used to identify you and are not shared.

14. Changes

This policy may change, notably if a third-party service changes. The effective date is shown at the top of this page; material changes will be flagged in the app’s release notes.
